April Rose was appointed in March of 2015 to fill the vacancy of Delegate Justin Ready upon his appointment to the Senate, and serves on the Ways and Means committee. She has over nine years of experience in the field of Human Resources with a focus on recruitment of IT professionals to staff defense contracts. She particularly enjoys volunteer work supporting our military in their transition out of the service and into the workforce.
April has prior experience working in mortgage finance, real estate, and event planning. April also spent 8 years working with local and state Republicans as a volunteer and in several leadership positions. She served as Secretary, Vice-President and President of the South Carroll Republican Club. April was then appointed to the Central Committee in 2004 and served until 2010 where she completed her term as Chair. She has also served on the Board of Elections.
April is excited to serve the citizens of Carroll County and hopes the next four years will bring opportunities to provide tax relief to Maryland businesses and families.
Rose attends the Faith Family Church in Gamber, Maryland. She resides in Westminster with her four children.
